MIF PARTICIPATION

 

 

MIF is a member of the Council of Bureaux (International Green Card System) and also is designated by the Government of Cyprus to act as the International Motor Insurers' Bureau of Cyprus.

 

Other organised Insurance Bodies are:

The Insurance Association of Cyprus, which is a full member of the Comite Europeen des Assurances (CEA), as well as of the International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI). It also participates in many other International and National Professional Bodies and Committees.

 

The Insurance Institute of Cyprus, which is affiliated with the Chartered Insurance Institute of England and offers education and training in the field of insurance.

 

The Cyprus Hire Risk Pool, which is an informal body insuring centrally, on behalf of all Insurance Companies transacting Motor Insurance business, all Public Service Vehicles i.e. Motor omnibuses, Taxis and Vehicles for Hire (Hire driving). It also insures rejected Motor risks ie. motorists who may not secure a Motor Policy of Insurance for any reason.
